Englishtown tavern where general charles lee planned the Battle of Monmoth. Washington also stayed here for Lee's court martial over his conduct at the battle.

 Brandywine-

The Brandywine. British and Continental artillery units fired back and forth over this waterway as Hessian units occupied Washington's front. The British main body moved north to flank Washington's troops.
